Tips to Stay Healthy in Ramadan




About 1.6 billion Muslim from all regions of the world are observing Ramadan nowadays. Ramadan has very much significance in Islam as its the month of blessing, Affection, Charity and many more good deeds. In Ramadan, Muslims are not allowed to eat from Dawn to Dusk while allowed time to eat is very limited. So its very much important to chose a healthy diet so that you can get the max out of it. In addition to that one purpose of Ramadan is to get rid of extra fats and get back in shape but unfortunately, some individuals keep their focus in eating only and end up in gaining weight instead of losing it. Also if you eat a lot then obviously you become lazy and then it would be difficult for you to stand in Taraweeh prayer etc.
Here are few steps to Stay healthy in Ramadan:

1. Never skip your meal especially Sahoor:

   Skipping a meal is not an option. Some people prefer to skip meal etc to lose their extra fats but what happens is when you skip a meal your body switches itself to storage mode and ultimately you end up in getting fat. Just like breakfast, Sahoor is an important part of the meal as it provides energy until the next meal that is a whole day away. It helps you to stay hydrated and active.


2. Avoid oily things:


This is also an important aspect. Avoid things which are fried in oil especially. Keep your dining table full of fruits, juices etc.


3. Avoid Sugar and Cola:


Sugar and Cola are also very damaging to your kidneys when you drink them at the time of breaking your fast. Prefer Fruit juices and Water.

4.Drink lots of water:

Drink lots of water in time between Sahoor and iftar as it helps you to stay hydrated in long summer days. At least Drink 2 liters of water daily to stay active.

5. Eat less but Healthy:

This is also an important factor. People usually eat a lot at the time of sahoor to avoid hunger in the day but what happens is when you eat a lot your body utilizes all of your energy to digest that food and ultimately you will end up hungry in a short time. So eat less but healthy.
